Hotkeys Conflicts

Hotkey conflicts are common, so if a hotkey isn't working in a certain mode, find the conflicting action in the hotkey editor and either remove it or assign a different key combination.

Radial Menus

Modeler offers its own set of radial menus designed to streamline the modeling process:

Display Options Alt D contains display settings, such as shading mode, object isolation, and toggling template node visibility.
Shading Mode Alt W contains different geometry shading modes such as Smooth, Smooth Wire, and others.
Flatten Alt F includes tools for surface flattening.
Primitive Alt R contains tools for creating quad primitives and curves.
Quick Mirror Alt V provides quick mirroring tools in one of four directions.
Select ` tools for selecting components, simplifying mode switching with gestures. Allows for quick deselection and toggling between selection and node states.
Pick Style Alt ` contains different component selection styles such as Box, Lasso, and others. Different modes not only change the selection style but also determine whether back-facing components can be selected. For example, the Lasso mode allows selecting all components, while Lasso Front selects only front-facing components.
Symmetry Alt X symmetry settings for Modeler tools.
Topo Alt Z contains all tools related to retopology.
Color Alt C contains tools for managing polygon colors.

Users can also create custom radial menus with Modeler tools using Houdini's standard features, offering flexibility and adaptability to individual needs.
